Terms, refunds and privacy.
Plain, and short enough to read. What a seat gives you · the free record.
What you are buying
- A one-year subscription to Silicon Almanac Desk, a web application at desk.siliconalmanac.com. It is a tool over a public record: the record itself at siliconalmanac.com is free, needs no account, and stays that way.
- Access begins as soon as the payment is confirmed. There is nothing to ship and nothing to install.
What it costs
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT. You are charged once, for a year.
- There is no automatic renewal. Nothing is taken from you again unless you choose to buy another year. A subscription simply ends.
- A Founders' Circle seat keeps its price for as long as it is held. That is a promise about the rate, not about the features, which change.
Cancelling and refunds
- You may cancel at any time. Because there is no renewal, cancelling means the access you have paid for runs to its end date and then stops.
- If you are a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract. Access starts immediately only if you ask for it to, by ticking the box at checkout, and doing so ends that right — this is stated at the moment you tick it, not only here.
- If something is broken, or the service is not what this page says it is, write to hello@siliconalmanac.com and you will get your money back. That is a policy rather than a legal minimum.
What this is not
- This record does not forecast, rank, score or recommend, and a seat does not buy an opinion, because there is none to sell.
- Nothing here is advice about buying or selling anything, and the record is built so that it cannot become that.
Your data
- The desk stores your email address, what you watch, what you have cited, what you noted and what you marked read. Nobody else can read any of it.
- Payments are handled by Mollie B.V. This application never sees or stores a card number.
- Records required for tax — the amount, the date, the country and the evidence for it — are kept for ten years because Dutch law requires it, and they survive the deletion of an account.
- Ask at hello@siliconalmanac.com for a copy of what is held about you, or for it to be deleted.
If something goes wrong
- Write to hello@siliconalmanac.com. You will get a person, and an answer within a few working days.
